Meet my little!

I am so excited to introduce you guys to one of my littles from the Bigs and Littles Blogging Network!

SBG

Meet Rebecca!  She blogs at A Girl and Her Sparkles, and we are switching blogs for the day!  Show her some love and pay her a visit!  Her OOTDs make me envious of her wardrobe!  And her dog...so adorable!

Hi ladies! I'm Becky, and I blog over at A Girl and Her Sparkles! I've been blogging for about 8 months, and it's definitely turned into a great little hobby for me! My blog has grown more than I ever thought it would! I like to blog about DIY projects, beauty and fashion, and the happenings of my life :) I am a registered nurse on an ICU, newly married as of last June, and raising a 2 year old chocolate lab!
Today, I am posting about my outfit of the day! We had such a nice day of spring last week, when the temp went up to 55. I was really hoping that would last, but today's high was about 10 degrees. Guess it's still going to be a few more weeks before we really start to head into spring. But while the weather was warm, I took advantage!

Tank: Aerie Long Layering Tank: Windsor Jeans: American Eagle Sweater: Francescas Coat: New York & Co. Boots: Dottie Couture Boutique Bag: Windsor Bracelet: Target

I didn't really need my pea coat on a day like this, but I showed a little peek of it a few weeks ago and had several requests to see all of it. So I took advantage of my husband being a gracious photographer this week.
I really cannot get enough of this bag - bows are my obsession, and to me this bag is just perfection and perfect for spring! The bracelet has quickly become a staple of mine, and was a great steal at Target. It took all I had not to buy it in every color available!
How did you spend your warm day last week?
PS - This was my first guest post, how did I do?!

A big thank you to Elyse for letting me guest blog on her awesome piece of the internet :) She's the best! I'll leave you with this beautiful little face, who at the time appeared to be saying he was ready for bed - I may be a little biased, but he is just the cutest!

Thanks Becky!

Pinsday Wednesday

Today is Wednesday!  In case you weren't sure.  But Wednesday is my favorite weekday, besides Friday of course.  I have an extra plan period on Wednesdays, which means I always feel extra accomplished.  It is also a good workout day, and I get home earlier on Wednesdays.  Pluses (what is the plural of plus?) all around!

Here are my favorite pins of the week!

You can find all of my pins here.

Cadbury Crème Egg Cupcakes.  Hello favorite Easter candy.

LOVE these shorts.

I'm in the market for a new workout bag.  I think this could be a winner!

Have a wonderful Wednesday!

A short post because I'm tired and I really just want to check Pinterest

I'm too tired for a real post today.  Going to bed at 11:45 will do that to you.  Plus I need to get to school early, and we all know that I don't plan my posts ahead of time.

^Things I need to work on^

I want to be like Stephanie and have all my posts written for the entire year.  Seriously she is the most organized person that I have ever seen, or read about because I haven't really seen her IRL.

I also didn't get to check Pinterest yesterday, so I am really getting an itch to browse, which means I need to keep this short.

Anyways I thought I would share my pictures from the wine and canvas class last night!  I was a little weary of this one.  I didn't think I would really like the subject, but it turned out to be one of my favorites so far!

My finished product....

Julie's finished product...

Love it!

Happy Tuesday!

Tomorrow is my  2 year blog-iversary so make sure you check back to see what I have in store for you!

Weekend Recap

Happy Monday!  If there is such a thing.

I don't know about you but it was BEAUTIFUL outside this weekend, part of it anyways.  I definitely am suffering from spring fever.  I think that means I need to stay home today.

Friday I woke up to a broken cable box, which means no cable in the living room, which means my morning routine of coffee drinking, blogging and news watching was rudely interrupted.  I spent the morning chatting with a tech guy only for him to tell me that we need a new one.  So here I sit in silence.  I could move to another room but that would really mess me up!

Friday night I babysit my favorite kiddos.

We made a fort for the oldest girly because she was sick, but it was torn down rather quickly because I was told by the littlest one, "There's a stink in there".  I am not sure what that stink was but they decided it had to come down.

After the fort, we played "Girl Scout Cookie Delivery People".

Followed by "Blanket Taco"

And ended with a game of "Attempt to pull Elyse around on a blanket".  They lost that game.

Saturday it was SO nice outside.  60+ degrees and not a cloud in the sky!  I went to yoga where I almost got up into my first tri-pod headstand.  I was SO close.  And no wall either!  Then Kelly and I celebrated National Margarita Day at a local Mexican place.

We came home and watched House of Cards, which I am finally getting into, and by getting into, I mean I stayed awake for a whole entire episode, so it must be getting interesting.

I also got to snuggle with my puppy brother.  My parents are out of town so he is my responsibility for the week.  I like having him except for when he wakes me up in the middle of the night.  Then I have words for him.  And they aren't nice.

Also that is about 80 pounds of dog laying on my shins, but how cute is he?

I also did a little crafting on Saturday night.  I am working on more examples for my Sprinkles and Splatters adventure, as well as some painted letters for my bathroom.

Sunday was a lazy day filled with more episodes of House of Cards, crafting and snuggling.  I am going to give you one guess on what the weather did...

If you said snow, you were right.

Indiana, where it is warm enough to lay out one day, and cold enough to snow the next.

I also squeezed a pretty awesome workout in there.

Bring it on Monday!  I am ready for whatever hand you deal me!

Pinsday Wednesday

I think it's spring.  I don't want to jinx myself and say that it IS spring, but it's supposed to get up to 52 degrees again today.  And tomorrow...68!  With thunderstorms!  I'm pretty sure that means its spring.  Praise to the high heavens!

It's Wednesday so that means I'm sharing my favorite pins for Pinsday Wednesday!

If you have had this cookie butter, you would realize how potentially amazing these no-bake cookies would be.

Orange zucchini bread.

Blu Cheese, Bacon, and Onion Dip....drooling.

Love this wreath!

What a fantastic idea!

For a yummy lunch...

You can find all of my pins here.

Have a great warm Wednesday!

Oh Hey! I am kind of a big deal these days.

I am so tired of staring at the computer screen.  I worked on the school yearbook for 4 hours non-stop last night.  I still have a few pages left to do, but thank God it's due today, because I think I would be changing and moving things round forever.  #enoughalready

But I just HAD to let you know that I am officially a big deal.

I reached 200 followers via GFC yesterday.

And 150 on Bloglovin'.

I know what you are thinking, woohoo, yay rah, and other ho-hum noises.

But my numbers have pretty much been the same for the last year give or take one or two, so I am excited about this jump!

I know "followers don't matter", "it's not a good measure of who reads your blog", blah blah blah.

You all know it makes you feel good!

Don't forget to enter our giveaway!  Paige and I, and several other bloggers have teamed up to give you the chance to win a $50 gift card to Starbucks!

Happy Tuesday!  I hear it might actually make it to 50 degrees today.

Hello Sperrys with no socks.

Weekend whirlwind and lots of fried chicken

Last week was so unexpectedly busy!  It was also one of those weeks where the crappies outweighed the happies which is something that you never want!

We had an awesome, but busy Valentine's Day weekend!

Friday we had Valentine's Day parties at school.  I'm pretty sure Valentine's Day with little kids is one of the best things ever.  Hearing them say "Happy Balentime's Day" just melts my heart, plus now I have enough chocolate in my desk to last me the rest of the year.  Unfortunately, most of said chocolate will go in my treasure box so I don't eat it.

I raced out of school Friday so that I could run a couple errands before getting home to get ready for the Florida Georgia Line concert.  When I finally got home I rushed to get ready, and we zoomed off to our favorite pizza place beforehand.

We got to the concert just in the knick of time!

It was awesome by the way!  So awesome that it gave me a cold and a scratchy voice, but nothing that a little Emergen-C can't cure!

Saturday night we went to a dinner thing with my parents.  There was fried chicken and a comedian.  I was a little worried because stand-up comedy is not really my thing, especially if it is raunchy and explicit, but the guy was hilarious and kept the raunchiness to a minimum.

Sunday we went up to Kelly grandparents for his Grandpa's surprise birthday party, where they had (you guessed it) fried chicken.  And this is why I am not skipping ANY workouts this week.  It was good to catch up with his dad's side of the family since we don't see them as often.

Sunday night we finally got around to having OUR Valentine's Day.  Although neither one of us really felt like eating, but I was determined to make a fancy dinner!

We had filet chateaubriand (whatever that means), roasted asparagus with balsamic and parmesean, spinach salad with strawberries and feta, and chocolate covered strawberries for dessert.  I was pretty proud of myself for cooking steaks without a grill for the first time ever.  I had to stick them back in the oven once we started eating them though because they were still moo-ing a little.  Nevertheless, they were delicious!

We ended the night by watching Walking Dead.

How romantic!
