What my life would be like if I didn't workout...

I am not one to talk about how much I workout, the lengths of my workouts, or the difficulty of my workouts.  I don't really feel like anyone cares, and I know how much I hate it when people constantly post how many miles they ran to get ready for their marathon or how good you feel after deadlifting 300 lbs.  If you are looking for a cookie, I don't bake.

I have two types of days.  Day A and Day B (days I work at the salon).

Here is my Day A schedule:

4:00-5:45  Wake up, blog, drink coffee, eat breakfast.
5:45-6:30  Get ready for school, make my lunch, iron clothes.
6:30-4:00 Go to school, teach.
4:00-5:30 Hot yoga.
5:30-6:30 Group exercise class.
(kickboxing, cycling, Zumba, or Insanity depending on the day).
6:30-7:00 Group core class.
7:00-7:30 Walk on a treadmill and wait for Kelly to finish playing basketball.
7:30-11:00 Go home, cook dinner, eat dinner, do school work, check social media, go to bed.

Here is my Day B schedule:

4:00-5:45  Wake up, blog, drink coffee, eat breakfast.
5:45-6:30  Get ready for school, make my lunch, iron clothes.
6:30-4:00 Go to school, teach.
4:00-8:00  Work at salon.
8:00-9:30 Go to gym.  Do elliptical, free-weights, abs
9:30-11:00 Go home, do school work, check social media, go to bed.

So as you can see, my days are pretty full.  I spend anywhere from 1.5 hours-3.5 hours at the gym every weekday.  There is not a lot of wiggle room for other things.

Now I am getting to the point.  Yesterday I was going to go to hot yoga at 4:00, after I did some work at school (we didn't actually have school due to fall break).  We were supposed to have the heater man come at 5:30ish because our heater was making an awful squealing sound.  Kelly was going to leave work at 5:00 to make it home for the heater man at 5:30.  I called the heater man on my way to yoga to give him Kelly's phone number, since he was the one that was going to be home, and I would be away from my phone in yoga.

The heater man said he would take down his number, and that "Oh!  The service technician is already on his way there now."  Umm excuse?

"You said he was coming at 5:30.  He's coming now?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Well my boyfriend is getting off work at 5:00 and won't be home until 5:30."

Pause...

"So what you are saying is that I need to go home now?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Great."

So no workout for me.  I'm not going to lie... I almost started crying.  I got that lump in my throat, and I had to take a drink of water to make it go away.  No yoga or group exercise for me.  I really like yoga and group exercise.  And I really don't like it when my routine gets messed up.

So I drove home...And friends, I got SO much done!

I made dinner for last night, dinner for Wednesday night, wrote a blog post, made lunches for tomorrow, sorted the bills, and cleaned/de-cluttered the mudroom area by our back door....and I still had two hours before bed time!

Oh the extra time I had!

Oh what it could be like if I had a good metabolism!

Oh what a feeling of accomplishment!

I was so happy to get so much done.

But really I still miss yoga.

Really I was still kind of mad at the heater man.

Tennessee Shenanigans

It's my last day of Fall Break...Whomp whomp.

We had SUCH an amazing weekend at our favorite little cabin in Tennessee.  If you recall, we rented the same cabin in the spring, pouring rain and all.  It was super fun, but also wet and dreary.  This time around it was gorgeous.  Seriously.  I can already tell I am going to be grumpy when I have to go back to work tomorrow.  The view outside by classroom, nor the room outside by bedroom is no where near comparable to the view from our cabin.  So I'll stop talking now and just show you the pictures...because that's really all you want to see anyway right?

See?  Amazing right?

We had plenty to drink.

Breathtaking.

Brother and sister.

Brother, Whitney, her friend's Allie and Craig

Perfectly roasted mallow.

Boyfriend.

It looks like a freaking painted picture!

Skull that we found by the lake.

Skipping rocks by the lake.

My favorite candid picture.

We found an inchworm!

Found some drift wood for a Pinterest craft!...That hill behind the cabin is a killer by the way.

Hiking in the woods. Staying hydrated of course!

Swinging on the porch.

Photo shoot on the porch.

We always have to take a jumping picture! The first one was an epic fail...I love Lauren's hair!

This one is AWESOME.  Going in a frame for sure!

 Take me back!!!

I graduated!

Good news!  The Blog Bigs and Littles partner list came out yesterday, and I graduated to a big!  Whoop whoop!

Previously, Holly from Back Home Again was my big.  She answered so many of my bloggy questions that I had for so long.  It was great getting to know her!  We even went on a blate!

My LITTLE is Nicole from Pearls and Prosecco...such a cute blog name!  She lives in Italy...jealous much?  I can already tell I am going to like her!  Maybe we can go on a blate too...I love Italy!

I'll be back soon with more good stuff.  The end of the quarter is kicking my booty...the massive amount of papers sitting on my floor, waiting to be graded...well it really makes me want to cry.  Or jut sigh heavily.  *Le sigh*

Happy Wednesday!

Fall Swap Reveal

I was so excited to be apart of Allie, Allison, Rebekah, and Ricci's Fall Swap!  This time around I was partnered up with Flo from Book Nerds Across America.

When I got my package last week I ripped it right open and this is what I found:

Instant apple cider- I will most def be drinking this on our cabin trip to Tenneesee this weekend.  Probably with some caramel vodka.  Yum!

Pumpkin Spice candle- You know I was excited about this!

Crafty leaves-  To decorate my mantel of course!

Long socks- I wear long socks under my boots to keep my pants tucked inside (things my mom taught me), so these will get a lot of wear.

Fall notepad- For my list making needs!

And my favorite part:

Cat eye coozie-  LOVE IT!

It's officially fall now!...Even though it's been officially fall for a while now...

Thanks Flo!

Wednesday Favorites

It's been awhile since I have shared my favorite things from my real life and from my Pinterest life.  There's lots of exciting things coming up!

First off, one thing that is not my favorite, picture day, which is today.  Why do teacher's have to get their picture taken every year? Can't they just reuse the first one every year?  Then after picture day I get a nice envelope full of my pictures.  So I can hand them out to my friends of course! But we aren't talking about negative things today.  Positives only!

I am taking the day off on Friday because my brother and sister are coming home for the weekend!  We are going to go to the Fall Festival to stuff our faces with fried food.  It's the one week a year where it's ok to eat everything fried.  Luckily I am only going one day.  More on that greasy fun later in the week.

I started a pumpkin painting contest at my school!  Any teacher that wants to can decorate or paint a pumpkin can bring their finished pumpkin on Friday.  Starting Monday, the students will be able to vote for their favorite pumpkin.  Lots of morale boosting going on!

I am finally not sweating.  It's finally cooled off, hopefully for good, and it's time to get the sweaters out!

In 10 days we will be heading down to Tennessee for a weekend of bonfires, drinking, board games, and hiking!  I am SO excited!

My favorite pins:

Cheesy Polenta with Basil Pesto and Roasted Tomatoes...Yummy!

Hogwarts TOMS anyone?  This is going to make my Christmas list.

Apple Cider Sangria

 Happy Wednesday!

Weekend Recap- Skimpy on the pics

What a great weekend!  It was so relaxing that I was actually BORED!  Yes, that's right.  I was BORED.  I don't even know the last time that happened.  I was also really bad at taking pictures (or maybe there just wasn't anything really worth taking pictures of).  So I apologize for all the words.

Friday night we went out for pizza.  But not just any pizza, double decker pizza.  It was so yummy.  And the beer wasn't too shabby either.

Saturday I went to a local winery with some people from school.  I organized for all of us to meet there and bring an appetizer.  It was really fun!  Our school is definitely in need of some morale boosting, and this did just the trick.   We will definitely be going again!  Oh by the way...it rained all day on Saturday.  Which means that Saturday night Kelly and I stayed in and watched Criminal Minds.  And Notre Dame won, so everyone was happy!

Sunday was still pretty yucky weather wise.   Kelly's family came down to celebrate his mom's birthday.  A party of 15 at a restaurant means that Kelly and I went early to put our name in, then sat in the bar and had drinks.

On a whim we decided to go see Gravity in IMAX 3D after lunch.

It was good, but I had really high expectations so I was a little disappointed.  Just a little though.  It was still very intense.  I found myself bouncing my leg up and down almost the entire movie.

Then we came home, finished the rest of Criminal Minds: Season 8 (Reid didn't die so that was good.  As long as he is safe, I'm okay).  When that was over I took a nap out of boredom.  Then the Braves came on.  I worked on some grading out of boredom.  Made play-dough out of boredom.  Re-vamped an old giant picture frame out of boredom.  Get the picture?  I almost started reading a book.  Almost.  That will have to wait until the next time I'm bored.
