Wednesday Sad Face Post

It's Hump Day!  We are half way there people!  Let's link up with Jamie @ This Kind of Love and What I'm Loving Wednesday and Michelle @ The Vintage Apple and Oh So Pinteresting Wednesday!

I am not going to lie, I am not loving a whole lot today.

As you probably figured, given my absence the past couple days, I did not secure a full-time position.  I found out on Monday night that I did not get the job, or any job.  :-/

I wouldn't have blogged about it if I didn't think that I had a very good chance!  So I was pretty disappointed, and now I feel like a loser. Haha

I met with my principal yesterday to talk about things I could improve on and what I can do better in my interview next time (I thought this was really nice of him because I don't think most principals would do this), and of course I started crying (UGH!).  He said that he thinks really highly of me and knows I do a great job, and he had told the other principals that, but they couldn't see that shine through.  He told me that he could tell that I was really nervous and that I wasn't acting like my normal self (which I totally agree with).  The principals gave everyone a score for all the questions, and then they added up the numbers foe a total score.  They hired the 13 highest scores.  I only scored average, run of the mill, normal, middle of the road, you get the picture, which he said he did not expect.  So I guess it's good that people expect a lot out of me at least!  And hey! This is the first time I have talked about it without crying!  (GO ME!)

I still have my job as an aide for next year (which I love), and the summer is not over so somethingmay come up!  I am staying positive and I am moving forward. :-)

Now for the fun stuff!

My Pinterest page is having issues loading so this may not even happen today!

20 minutes, a shower, and a hair-do later...

This fits my current state of mind.

I love my job! Even if it is only part-time!

How awesome is this staircase?!? I am so doing this if I ever have a staircase up to a playroom!

I am loving this lamp!  This would be such an easy DIY.  I think I would do it with just a few colors though.

And as always I am loving my life with a cherry on top!

That's all for today.

Kind of boring, but my Pinterest finds have been few and far between lately!

Does that ever happen to you?

What are you loving on this Wednesday?

I started reading "What Color is Your Parachute" (father's advice to do that) because I have been struggling with finding my passion/dream job, etc. But anyway, in it the author states that those who honestly believe everything happens for a reason are happier with life & more likely to find the next best job because even though they might not know WHY it happened at that very moment, they figure it out down the road. Hope that is encouraging for you! :) It was very encouraging for me! Hope your day looks up!

So sorry you didn't get the job. Hopefully this means something better will come around, especially if they couldn't see how awesome you are! Good luck girl!

those first two signs are totes truestory.com!! I will always have room for wine in my glass, and I am striving to get to a point of finding a job I'm passionate about so I never have to "work"

I'm sorry to hear about the job falling through :( If it makes you feel any better, the first job I applied and interviewed for right out of college was my "dream job" and I was completely devastated when I didn't get the position. But then I was hired into a position at the place I am currently working and and I am absolutely in love with my job! Sometimes, it takes a few tries to find the place where we are meant to be :)

I found your blog via the link up and I am a new follower :) Stop by my blog and follow back if you would like :)

I'm so sorry to hear about your interview results. I think that is an awful way to do the interview, by the way - grouping all the scores. I hope that this means there is something even better in store for you - maybe not this year (hopefully, though!), but maybe your dream job will be open next year. I'm glad to hear you are happy about another year in your aide position... since you are definitely prepared for the interview now, you will TOTALLY blow them away next time!!
