What my life would be like if I didn't workout...

I am not one to talk about how much I workout, the lengths of my workouts, or the difficulty of my workouts.  I don't really feel like anyone cares, and I know how much I hate it when people constantly post how many miles they ran to get ready for their marathon or how good you feel after deadlifting 300 lbs.  If you are looking for a cookie, I don't bake.

I have two types of days.  Day A and Day B (days I work at the salon).

Here is my Day A schedule:

4:00-5:45  Wake up, blog, drink coffee, eat breakfast.
5:45-6:30  Get ready for school, make my lunch, iron clothes.
6:30-4:00 Go to school, teach.
4:00-5:30 Hot yoga.
5:30-6:30 Group exercise class.
(kickboxing, cycling, Zumba, or Insanity depending on the day).
6:30-7:00 Group core class.
7:00-7:30 Walk on a treadmill and wait for Kelly to finish playing basketball.
7:30-11:00 Go home, cook dinner, eat dinner, do school work, check social media, go to bed.

Here is my Day B schedule:

4:00-5:45  Wake up, blog, drink coffee, eat breakfast.
5:45-6:30  Get ready for school, make my lunch, iron clothes.
6:30-4:00 Go to school, teach.
4:00-8:00  Work at salon.
8:00-9:30 Go to gym.  Do elliptical, free-weights, abs
9:30-11:00 Go home, do school work, check social media, go to bed.

So as you can see, my days are pretty full.  I spend anywhere from 1.5 hours-3.5 hours at the gym every weekday.  There is not a lot of wiggle room for other things.

Now I am getting to the point.  Yesterday I was going to go to hot yoga at 4:00, after I did some work at school (we didn't actually have school due to fall break).  We were supposed to have the heater man come at 5:30ish because our heater was making an awful squealing sound.  Kelly was going to leave work at 5:00 to make it home for the heater man at 5:30.  I called the heater man on my way to yoga to give him Kelly's phone number, since he was the one that was going to be home, and I would be away from my phone in yoga.

The heater man said he would take down his number, and that "Oh!  The service technician is already on his way there now."  Umm excuse?

"You said he was coming at 5:30.  He's coming now?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Well my boyfriend is getting off work at 5:00 and won't be home until 5:30."

Pause...

"So what you are saying is that I need to go home now?"

"Yes ma'am."

"Great."

So no workout for me.  I'm not going to lie... I almost started crying.  I got that lump in my throat, and I had to take a drink of water to make it go away.  No yoga or group exercise for me.  I really like yoga and group exercise.  And I really don't like it when my routine gets messed up.

So I drove home...And friends, I got SO much done!

I made dinner for last night, dinner for Wednesday night, wrote a blog post, made lunches for tomorrow, sorted the bills, and cleaned/de-cluttered the mudroom area by our back door....and I still had two hours before bed time!

Oh the extra time I had!

Oh what it could be like if I had a good metabolism!

Oh what a feeling of accomplishment!

I was so happy to get so much done.

But really I still miss yoga.

Really I was still kind of mad at the heater man.

WOW....3+ hours at the gym? Go you...that sounds like hell to me haha, but good on you for doing it!
Maybe once a month (or every other week) you should skip ONE night of working out to get some stuff done at home? Maybe? Or not...haha

Holy crappers gurlie you get up at 4:00 every day?! That's insane! I don't know how you do it with such a packed schedule. You are amazing for being so committed to working out, because most people with your schedule would use it as an excuse not to work out and claim to be too busy. Yes, there are definitely days where I'm too busy/lazy to fit in a decent workout, but most days I put in the effort and it's so much easier once it becomes a part of your routine :)
