I made it through (well...as of this afternoon) our first full week of school since....? I don't even remember the last time I worked a full week. I'm thinking it was before Thanksgiving. Needless to say the kids have been a little wound up and are in need of some routine in their life. The teachers too for that matter.
And it's snowing right now. Not going to lie, I could go for a delay, BUT no cancellations please!
1. Chia Seeds
Have you heard of these things? I have been putting them in and around everything that goes into my mouth. Yogurt, Cream of Wheat, quinoa, smoothies. They crunch like strawberry seeds, unless they get wet, then they are more like tapioca, but they have absolutely no taste.
The list of good things about these seeds goes on and on!
2. It's Friday
That means it's wine day. I have been trying to give up my nightly glass(es) of wine in hopes of losing a little weight after the holiday season, but I am allowed to have wine on Fridays and Saturdays. Praise the Lord because I am really missing it!
3. Losing Weight
I typically eat pretty healthy and exercise on a day to day basis, but my portion control was out of control. I have been reeling my portions back in (and drinking less as stated above), and I have already lost two pounds!
4. Vacation
We are getting closer and closer to finalizing our spring break plans. It's looking like we are going to Florida still, so no where exotic like I had hoped, but we are working on some cheap-o flights, and it's going to much more reasonable (and longer) than going on a cruise or to the Caribbean like I wanted. Just get me to the beach so I can make it through the rest of the year. That's all I ask.
5. Apple TV
I am probably going to lose another weekend due to this thing. Although we have almost watched all the shows that I am interested in. We are just about caught up on Parenthood, and then I can be done watching shows for a while. Maybe then I can finish the book I have been reading since Thanksgiving!
Have a great weekend!

I've never actually used Chia seeds, but I know my mom puts it on everything. I haven't watched Parenthood yet, but I've heard so many good things about it! Perhaps I'll add it to my queue!
Ive never used Chia seeds but they sound like they have lots of benefits!
Yay for vacations to look forward to! My next one is over our Spring Break, but it's our honeymoon, so even MORE reason to look forward to it. It's nice having that in sight to look forward to and keep us sane through this part of the school year. :)
Yeah chia seeds! I use them and flax as egg substitutes. It's a great way to sneak in something super good for you when you have others in the house that won't eat them normally... :-)
